... Childcare.co.uk

One of my CM friend has recommended it to me as she has received many enquiries from it.

I've just set up my profile.

It's been around for a while. I've not had any work via it though... so like all such websites being on them doesn't mean you will get work.

I've had several enquiries, yes, but haven't had the spaces. So the answer is there is potential to get work through it, I just haven't had proper spaces since I've been on there.

I've been listed on there for about a year. About 50% of the enquiries i get come from there. However, I don't pay the membership fee, and neither do the parents who contact me as most have the common sense to 'google' me once they have checked out my profile.

yes I am on it and have had lots of contacts actually but i am full.. still all publicity is always welcome as they say in Hollywood!!

I was getting quite worried as it has been very quiet recently and I am still not on the main government website, so I registered and am signing up 2 new part-timers as a direct result.

I?m registered with them but although I?ve had parents enquire so far I have not had any work from them. If someone looks at my profile I send them a friendly message directing them to my website, some answer but loads do not even bother to open their message (it shows as an open envelop if they have) and I get so cross that they do not even bother to read what I?ve got to say, its happened too when a parent has sent me a message- I reply but they don?t open it!
I?ve been a paid member for a year now & I?m wondering if its worth it (maybe its just my area which is rather rural??) I can see its handy for parents not having to visit every childminder with a vacancy, but there is nothing quite like meeting people in the flesh so to speak.
