The basket gets so full of childrens bags, first aid kits, spare clothes, drinks snakcs..etc etc..you get the picture..it bowed a long time ago and scrapes high kerbs LOL..that was livable..then rear hoods metal arm bent so it wont open/close over properly, if i force it it will snap and leave sharp metal uncovered ..but still ok as i was careful not to move it too much ..this morning, flipping it open from folded, all one handed and clever like it do ..the front hoods bit that slots into frame to keep it there, compeltely SNAPPED off!..so one side of hood in place, other side flapping about all day 8-(...went to shop where bought and it will cost £70 for 2 new hoods and a new basket!!!!..PUS the hoods wont be same fabric as its not a current style (suppose i could remove my material and swap?)...new ones cost about £133..seems daft to spend £70 when something else could go and HAS been well used!
So now need new one! but few things with this i dont like ie: lack of leg room in rear seat when front seat leaning back and poor access to basket when rear seat laying back..dont want a side by side, have used them before and much prefer tandem but have ZILTCH funds, so as cheap as poss but good quality as will have to take it from my tax savings account...any suggests mucho appreciated.xxx
