Over 3 funding during holidays

My DS goes to a private nursery which has now broken up for 6 weeks.
He receives his over 3 funding which goes towards his nursery fees.
If I find a child minder for the holidays can I apply for the same funding?
If so how would it work? Would the child minder have the forms etc? I guess she would.
Have found a web site with local, registered child minders on it, is there any thing I should be looking for, OFSTEAD, CRB etc?
Many thanks

I might be wrong but I think the funding only covers 38 weeks of the year so you may find you'll reach the end of it at some point if you are continuing funding through school holiday times.

Thankyou sweetness, love your name!
Yeah think you are right, thought my idea was too good to be true.

It is termtime only so you have probably already had your allocation of hours.

Also just to add, there are only some childminders who can offer the NEF. The childminder would have to be approved and accredited.
but yes, NEF is for 38 weeks per year - term time only

Won't help you but from Sept the EYE funding is increasing to 15hours p/w over 38 weeks but can be 'stretched' so up to a max of 570 hours per year so if you use a provider who is open all year you can spread the cost, and share it between 2 providers. Unfortunately tho you can't transfer it from one provider to the other just for the hols
