Help!? Urgently need a registered childminder in SE10

I have just received a letter from my employer asking me to return to work by 1st August OR (this is my preferred option) around 14th September. I really do need to return because they are offering me a different role that I would be silly to turn down.

Problem- my son will be 8 months old by then and I don't have a childcare place. I put my name down for a few nurseries at the start of the year but so far nothing..

I really need a registered childminder/nursery place because on my income I can then claim tax credits to help pay for the place.

Um, anyone have any tips?

Hi My childminder will have a spare place form Sept. DD turns 1 in August so she will be able to take your DC.

We are in se13. She is registered and excellent. DD very happy there been there since 8 months old.

Not sure how this works geographically though.

Hi mermummy that sounds ideal actually. SE13 is a bit of a trek but the only other childcare I've been able to find is a place in the city charging something obscene, I would pay out far more than my salary!

Thank you very much for your help I have found a nursery for the time being and have contacted lots of childminders from your link as well, there is one on my street who is going to be able to help in the next few months.
