T'wud be great if you could break this down in to days where you have been too poorly for mindees and when your kids have been too poorly for mindees to come.

Thanks childminders..!

me:4 weeks off last summer with a virus

DCs: 4 days

MUM2BLESS · 20/07/2010 19:21

Not been off sick from minding myself since starting in 2008

My son was once not well once and I gave a parent the option if she wanted her child to come. She choose not too, so I did not charge. I think this may have happened once.

0 in 7 years - usually save my sickness for the weekends or holidays

foureleven · 20/07/2010 20:47

This is really helpful thank you.

Anyone else?

None. The whole family (including my DD) have to save illness for weekends . No, not really, we're just generally healthy. I do get a flu jab each year.

Danthe4th · 20/07/2010 22:10

me-1 day in 3 years with a sickness bug, my husband took 1 day off to care for my youngest son when he was poorly and I took the mindees out for the day.

Prinnie · 20/07/2010 22:15

0 in 2 years - had a week off for a very serious mouth infection before that though.

pippin26 · 20/07/2010 22:27

Me - none
Had to take 2 days of when my son was in hospital in the last 12 months and I used that as 'holiday'

pesto80 · 20/07/2010 23:42

Iv had 1 in the last year.
And about 2 for my DS,

My DS had swine flu when it hit last year, so i took a week off then and didn't charge for it.

However i have now included in all contracts 5 paid sick days per year, which i will only use for emergency's and wont carry forward to the next year.

lillyr · 21/07/2010 13:47

Me- none in 2 years of minding
My dd- none

Millenium · 21/07/2010 13:54

Zero

dmo · 21/07/2010 14:43

i have had about a total of 5 days off in the yr thats just my illness

not off when ds`s poorly as they are both teenagers and sleep it off if they are ill, childminders tend to be mostly ill at weekends and their hols (from past experience)

hennipenni · 21/07/2010 19:30

None, only ill during weekends and holoidays.
