Hi there
I'm looking at childcare options either in Borehamwood or North West London and am wondering what the average charge is per hour especially in Borehamwood. I was told by one that it is £8.50 an hour which seems very high to me.

for a childminder even in London I would say this IS high, as they would generally be looking after other children too. For a nanny I would say this is a very/impossibly reasonable gross wage or an average to low net one depending on specs. etc. Perhaps ask around to see what others charge

I've not seen any charge that much more like £5 ph.

Usually £25 for half a day and £45 for full days.

Take a look at the hertsmere website and look up child minders it gives a full list of people and just phone around.

HTH

Thanks. I will see what else I can find. As usual I've left things to the last minute :-)
