Please give some advice on hours of work and contract

Hi just wanted some advice please.

I look after a little one usually one day per week about four hours, we have a signed aggrement on this, which I am fine with.

Rectently the parent has increased the hours by a couple more hours on that day, sometimes using my services twice a week when necessary.

At what stage do you insist that the contract be changed to reflect the extra hours on the normal day the child comes and also the extra day in which she comes. The parent wants to keep the contract the same.

I am looking a stage further. What happens if I take an hols. (I charge half fee) will this be for what is on the contract or for the extra hours. Also if the child is unwell etc I will only be able to charge for the contracted hours. Also if for example I am asked to work Tues and Thurs and the parent decides they do not want me to work THursday then I am at a loss as the contract does not cover Thurs.

I hope this is clear. Sorry its so long!!!

If they want the extra hour every week, then I would amend the contract.
If they refuse, then charge a higher rate for less than 24/48 hours notice.

Thanks Sally.

I will see what happens next week. If I am still required to do the extra time and hours then I will have to mention about contract changing.
