OMG, I had (almost) forgotten how tiring it can be. I suppose I was spoiled whilst working "in the real world" part time, having my house back, time to myself, tidy house etc.

Been there, done that, thrown the t-shirt in the wardrobe - and came back to being a cm!!! I soon realised it's better the devil you know!

I'm absolutely knackered most nights, my house is permanently like a pre-school, I have paperwork coming out of my hours - but you know what? I love it! I'm my own boss, can make sure things are done properly and am in control of my life!!

You will get back into the swing in time, and we are all here if the going gets tough . Good luck!

Couldn't agree more with 'I am my own boss' and I am 'back in control of my life'. I came into childcare almost by accident as a temporary position till I decided what to with my working future. I love it! I like to work for myself and being in control of my life as you put it. Also and most importantly I really feel I offer an important service and feel really appreciated. The kids I have looked after have given me much more satisfaction than any boss I ever worked for in my many years as an academic PA.
