We are downsizing from a nanny to a au pair in September. Hence our nanny (whom we love and will miss) is seeking new employment.
She is very organised, very hard working, concientious, the children love her. I could leave on Monday and return on Friday and know that they were in good hands the whole time. I don't do this (often) but I could and wouldn't worry.
DS once whacked his head on the roundabout in the playground. The (stupid) local GP across the street (not our normal GP) wouldn't see him. Luckily, nanny had more common sense and recognised the signs of a mild concussion and called an ambulance to take DS to A&E. I was uncontactable at work. So, she had to act on her own and I'd say she is pretty fab in an emergency situation.
She always does everything I ask her to do in less time than could be reasonably expected.
She is Polish. Her English is very good. She is well educated (has a masters). She has settled well here in England and wants to stay... but she needs a job.
