How many people were in the room while you gave birth to your DCs?

I should have sold tickets. Damn!

10 but did have emcs

5 and about 20 (2 DC's)

DH, 2 midwives and a doctor. (This is according to DH as I had to ask him - I had no idea!)

I had a difficult forceps delivery and TBH there were far too many in the room. Lost count, perhaps 12?

I was too busy to notice!

Dh and one or possibly two midwives.

Though I should have sold tickets immediately after ds1 was born - there were at least 5 more while my perineum was being sewn up!

1st - Hossy water birth - DH, my mum, my mw.

2nd - Home water birth - DH, mw, student mw (my mum and toddler came in when baby was minutes old)

3rd - CSection - DH, mw, 6 theatre staff, 1 pead

Home birth planned for this weekend - will be DH, DD, mw, student mw, and maybe another mw if she makes it on time this time?

DS1 - Hospital birth. At final stages, 2 midwives, 1 paed, 1 doctor, DH, me.

DS2 - Homebirth. Me, DH, two midwives, student midwife

DS3 - Homebirth. Me, DH, 2 midwives.

DD1 - em c-s under GA, I have no idea who was there or what happened - still makes me

DD2 - VBAC forceps, DH, obstetrician, MW (just as well DH was there as MW and Obs couldn't work out how to get the stirrups onto the new type of bed, and DH did it!).

DD3 - VBAC, DH, MW.

All 3 were long labours, so if I counted up how many people had been in the room over the course of my labours, I'd be well into double figures each time

DH midwife and trainee midwife, for the last 20mins, before that just DH, with a very occasional midwife checking things (maybe 5 times in 12hours)

DP, MW1, MW2 and StudentMW who actually delivered DS and was with us the whole time...she was lovely!

DS was the 11th person to enter the rtoom, according to DH (shoulder dystocia).

DS: 4 including me (dh + 2 mws)
Dd: 3 including me (dh + one mw)

DS1 (at home) - DH, SM, 3 midwives. Father lurking downstairs.

DS2 - (at home) DH, 2 midwives. Much better!

DD made 8 when she arrived. Me, mum, 2 midwives, 2 paeds, one doctor. I was the only one on the labour ward that night so I think they were all wanting something to do!!

DD1 - Normal birth, no complications. One gynaecologist, her assistant, about 5 or 6 nurses who were in and out of the room. Dh with me at head end.

DD2 - Again normal birth with no complications. One midwife, that's it. Dh with me at head end again.

DS1: 5 plus me and DP - three doctors (2 x gynae and 1 paed - baby in distress) plus two midwives

DS2: two midwives, me and DP - very peaceful, dimmed lights, just me and my body pushing away - amazing experience!

DD2 (unplanned birth on the way to hospital) - DH, a postman, a gaggle of children passing on their way to school. I honestly couldn't have cared !
