C-Section scar sore 5 month post section and sharp pain round belly button - normal?

Had dd 5 month ago by planned c section, it was my 2nd section and during the section it was found my fallopian tube was adhered to my bladder so this was detached. Afterwards i also had query retained products and had 6 lots of antibiotics.

Since then my stomach has been completly numb from belly button downwards, the last couple of weeks my actual scar has been sore and sometimes feel like its going to split, also i keep getting a really sharp pain round my belly button. Is this just healing or should i be going to gp?

Mine have all been numb for a while but not sore or uncomfortable past about 2 months. You might want to get it checked out.

Not sure about the belly button thing but my cs scar is still numb (area just above the scar) and sometimes burns, 3.5 years later!

However since your pain is getting worse and you have the belly button pain as well and you had complications at/after the birth, it does sounds like you should get it checked out.

Hi i still have some numbness just below and above the scar (had emergency c-section 9 months ago) and was told this was normal for alot of ladies but i agree that if you are having pain i would go and get it checked out.

Could the pain be from separated stomach muscles? There's a name for it. Look up Tupler Technique and see if this could help you. Would also advise to see your OB Gyn re pain and soreness.

i had emcs 4 years ago and still get discomfort at the scar site. however, as other's have said, if your pain/sensation has changed, go and get it checked out.

Went to the gp today who said scar is slightly inflamed and the pain round the belly button is probably inflamation inside so have been given anti inflamatorys, and if pain does not subside he said to go back. I dont suppose a 5 month old dd starting to stand up on my tummy helps!
