When do periods return? (not breastfeeding)

10 weeks post dd. Bleeding stopped at about 6 weeks. Have posted on here before about worrying about being pregnant - ovulated over 2 weeks ago but no period. When did your periods return? Should I stop worrying and just be grateful they haven't returned yet

are you breast feeding?

maxpower · 20/06/2010 21:37

no I don't think it's unusual to wait that long. Just enjoy it!

DS was 19 weeks when I started. I'd stopped bfing at 3 weeks.
Just to warn you it was hellish - like early contractions but with no respite - I was bedridden for 24 hrs. It was like a crime scene when I went to the loo. (Sorry TMI)

Im nearly 12 weeks after giving birth with DS2 (bottle feeding) & still waiting. I think it was about 3 months with DS1 but some ppl are even longer than that

I breast and bottle fed for 4 months then stopped breast feeding 2 months ago, i'm still waiting for my period, TBH am enjoying not having them

Still no period, in a way I just wish they would start again so I can get back to normal. Don't want to start taking the pill again until periods return and worried condoms aren't as effective. But then saying that have heard first period is pretty bad

used condoms so prob all OK. They don't offer 6 week checks where I live, I tried to book an appointment for one anyway but they had nothing for 3 weeks. Waiting for period to return before I start taking the pill again.
