It was written by the DH of a friend of our doula so we had a quick look over it at the early stages, but can't in all honesty remember much specific. It seemed like pretty sensible advice, and I think tried to approach the arguments men might use against HB in a 'scientific' way, as in giving facts and figures about how it's safe rather than saying "It's more comfortable for the woman".

Is that any help?!

DP is currently halfway through it and is impressed.

He says its well written, informative, and entirely non-patronising (unlike the few other books aimed at fathers we have seen, which seem to assume that men are little more than lager lads who just want to get the whole fatherhood thing done and dusted so they can go to the pub and watch the footie). He also says it has set his mind at rest about a few issues and given him a more realistic idea of what to expect on the day.

Thanks ladies, that is brilliant. Looks like DH will be getting that for father's day!
