when did you have your first period after having baby?

Hi all - the title explains it really! DS is 9 weeks now and I havent had my period yet. Was just wondering how long is usual? Im bottle feeding - dont know if this makes a difference?

you MUST use contraception, you can get pg BEFORE your first period

13 weeks. I was exclusively bfing. Was robbed.

Have you been having sex?

5 months and 9 months I think. It really does vary.

5m & 6m respectively, was EBF though so felt v short changed. 9w sounds soon, wouldn't worry. ditto re contraception anyway though... know of several unexpectedly close siblings!

At 11wks and was exclusively bfeeding, like showofhands said, I was robbed! Was looking forward to months without AF.

Don't rely on bfeeding as a contraceptive at all btw, I'm pg with #2 even though I was still bfeeding at the time.

ds1 - 4 months

ds2 - 10 months

dd1 - still waiting (she's 5 months old)

BF as contraception only covers you for the first 4 weeks apparently.

I was 11 months with DS1, 18 months with DS2

8 months with ds2- EBF so after I'd stopped.
Too long ago to remember with ds1

16 weeks. started yesterday, feel terrible. and I'm BFing.

Oh yes been using condoms & got my pill ready to go back on when get my period. Im supposed to take it on the first day of my period whenever that may be! thanks all

dd is now 6 months and still nothing

4 weeks. despite B-feeding. Twice. So unfair.

13 months with dd. Breastfed her for a year.

ds now 5 months and no period yet. Still breastfeeding.

6 months which is when I gave up b/feeding.

I took agnus castus to help get them started again.

about a month after I stopped BF

20 months! was breastfeeding though

DD - day before her 1st birthday (19 days after I stopped breastfeeding.
DS - 13 months - 16, days after I stopped breastfeeding.

5 weeks the first time, 8 the second.
