DC2, episiotomy question

Hi all,
With the birth of DD1 (2 yrs ago) I had a bit of a rough ride, ended in ventouse, forceps and episiotomy. Although, I don't look back on the labour with a positive view and not too worried about the next (8/40 pregnant).
However, was just wondering whether having had an episiotomy for the first labour means that you are more likely to have another one next time? Do you have any experiences that may shed some light?

i had an episiotomy with Ds. he was 7lb.

I had DD 4 years later and despite her being 8lb 1oz i had nothing but a tiny graze. no tear or need for episiotomy.

you will be fine.

Thanks Gigantaur, Its not that I'm really worried, just wondered what my chances are.
For me, the scare was one of the worst parts about the whole experience - healing took ages and it still aches now from time to time

DD1 was a similar story to yours. DD2 was a full 2 pounds heavier and just slid out! No stitches at all. Was much more pleasant experience all round
