Being induced today - anyone else?

I can't sleep as I'm so excited to finally be being induced today. Feels like I've been waiting forever for this baby and the last 2 weeks have been particularly long!
Didn't think I'd ever be this excited about a day of pain and pushing lol but can't wait to give my baby a cuddle. and find out the sex! Fingers crossed it'll be here by teatime! (bet it's more like tomorrow though!)

I am too. Hence the being awake. I go in at 9am. I have to admit I'm more aprehensive, I would have really liked to give it a few more days tbh to give him a chance to get out on his own. I'm 40+12 but from the doc's reaction yesterday you would have thought I was +22! Even booked me in as high risk for a 9am start rather than the normal 8pm (both me and baby are healthy and consistently problem-free).

Do you have many details? I feel a little in the dark! I'm hoping the gel kick starts it all without the drip business.

Hiya, sorry you're aprehensive, but don't worry, on the bright side you'll be able to see your baby soon! I'm 40+15 by scan dates but went by own dates (40+12) at midwifes recommendation to give baby extra time and still no sign whatsoever. Definitely hoping for a gel only, I'm not at all good with drips but by this point I'll do anything lol!

I was induced with ds1 at 40 +17.

One lot of prostin gel was all I needed even though I'd shown no signs at all of labour being imminent. He arrived about 8 hours after I had it.
