Anyone have a feeling their baby would be early...and they were?

I know first babies are usually late, but for some reason I am convinced mine will be early...

Is this just wishful thinking or did anyone else's "intuition" turn out to be correct?

Thanks!

No, my baby didn't need special care. 37 weeks is technically full term so she was okay, just a bit small. She'd have been probably 8lb ish if she'd been on time - 6lb isn't a bad weight for a 37-weeker!

My DD was due to be delivered by c-section on 2 November (I was actually due on 18 November); and I asked consultant what would happen if baby came early (as didn't know she was a she then). Kept getting told by consultatnt, don't worry about it she isn't due til the 18th.

Lo and behold she came at the end of October at 37 weeks and had to be delivered by emergency section.

I always had a feeling she would turn up early, don't know why.

I always thought DS would be late and he was 2 weeks early so my intuition was way off! I had nothing properly ready and it was a nightmare taking all the tags off things and unwrapping everything while he was there.

This time round I'm going to have everything ready in plenty of time but still make plans for the last weeks as I'm told that there's nothing worse than just hanging about waiting for something to happen.

I thought DD would be early, and she was. By, um, a grand total of two hours!

Think will pack my hospital bag then just in case.

I was convinced that DS would arrive at 34 weeks. It absolutely threw me when he hung on until 37+2. I'm really glad he did though as he was a tiny baby anyway (5lb 2oz, 4lb 14oz when we left hospital) so he definitely needed those 3 weeks!
