Post-partum bleeding. How short is short?

My DD was born on Sunday morning and my bleeding has already stopped...

Is this normal?
Should I mention it to the midwife?

I'm sure I bled for 4 weeks with DS.

Thanks. x

Pretty sure mine didn't last very long either. Def nothing like 4 weeks and probably less than a week. Is your midwife or health visitor coming round to your house at the mo? I'm sure they wouldn't mind if you mentioned it.

You might find it starts up again - ds3 was born on Friday, over the weekend it was fairly light/non-existent, but as the milk has come in and feeding has stepped up so has the bleeding.

Don't worry though - 'normal' covers a multitude of variation!
