Just had show -this is baby 3 and never had (or noticed) one in previous 2 pregnancies. I know they say it could still be 2 weeks away but just wondered what others experiences were?

Only 37 weeks preg, DH works away and had planned to be away next week-want to know if I am over reacting if I tell him he can't go!! (both other births very quick and I don't want him to miss it!)

Hello hun, I had my show just before I went into labour, but as you said it could be 2 weeks! My best mate had her show 5 days before. good luck. You are not over reacting telling him not to go. This is the birth of your child. You could go into labour today, tomorrow...any time now hun xx

I had my show on the saturday, started with fairly regular contractions on the sunday, although DD wasn't born until Tue morn. So only 3 or 4 days.

sheeplikessleep · 22/05/2010 13:30

I had my show on the Thursday, contractions started late Saturday night and DS was born 5am on the Sunday morning!

Good luck! From speaking with others, I get the impression that whilst it can be two weeks, most go just a few days.

PS don't quote me on my last comment

I was 8cm so gave birth a couple of hours later.

I had mine 12 days ago, think I might just be in early labour now........hope you don't have to wait as long as me!

AnAngelWithin · 22/05/2010 15:52

was it bloody? I've heard that if its more bloody then labour might happen sooner? All the other shows i've had, i went into labour within 2 days after. But also, yes, it could be a while. Good luck.

I had a show on a Monday afternoon whilst feeling a twinge of labour contractions, and went into full-blown labour on Monday evening. DD was born in the early hours of Tuesday morning. And yes, it was bloody.

dct · 23/05/2010 10:09

dd1 I was in labour and it was bloody, dd2 it wasn't bloody and I went in to labour 2 weeks later.

mollybob · 23/05/2010 14:43

had shows during labour last two times but had small bloody show this am (due date yesterday) so want to know the answer to this too!

(ds and dd were 13 days and 10 days late so not really expecting much action just yet)

With both my pgs I had a show then my waters broke a few hours later.

Unfortunately for me, in both cases everything came to a grinding halt after that and I ended up with two c-sections! That's just me though.

Good luck!
