Hi all. I'm 38+4 with no 2, having had c sec with no 1 so no experience of labour! been feeling off colour all week, with period pains on and off. Today i have been getting tightenings at the bottom of my bump, feel like i have to poo constantly (sorry!), got the major munchies but feeling very sick at the same time and positivley exhausted... any one got any ideas? don't want to get my hopes up

Sounds like very early labour - which can take days/weeks. In my experience, when it actually happens, you won't be in any doubt!

Good luck!

My pains were around my bum both times.

With first I had "niggles" all night.
Kept going to bathroom as I thought I needed the toilet!

yeah going to the loo every 5 minutes. getting mildly painful tightenings every ten minutes now but still nothing too bad... dp has decided to stay at work as "i'm coping" so maybe some games with dd will speed things up lol!!

If it's labour, in most cases the tightenings will lengthen is time, strengthen in intensity and become more frequent. It reaches a point where you can be under no illusion that you're in labour. You won't be chatting on here for example.

Paracetamol and a bath will help in the early stages if you're a bit uncomfortable but staying mobile and active can help things along a little.

Good luck.

Hi Tiggsy - I've been exactly the same today. How are you getting on? Or does the fact that you haven't posted for a while say it all?
