Hi all,

I'm an oldie MN'er but not been around for a long long time ...

My SIL is in labour as we speak attempting a VBAC - her waters broke at about 1am this morning and at 4am she was 2cm. I haven't heard any more since this so am hoping someone can tell what might be happening.

I'm presumming the whole labour process is monitored differently with a VBAC - will she be put on a drip to speed things up if not progressing or is this a no-no due to the previous c-section ?

I don't want to call her or my brother as I don't want to bother them but I'm sitting waiting for that phone call and driving myself insane wondering whats happening.

Hi,
Every hospital has their own policy with regards to drips/speeding up labour.
I'm going for a Vbac and my hospital won't give me the drip to speed things up.

You must have some news now...how did she get on?
