progesterone related bleeing after birth

Hi,

Sorry if this is TMI but I'd really like to know if anyone has experienced what I'm going through.

I had a natural birth 10 weeks ago (b/g twins) and since then I've had all sorts of bleeding episodes. First they thought i may have retained products but a scan was inconclusive and then they thought it was just an infection so I've been on anitbiotics. However as it's still not gone or eased up, the doctor put me on progesterone tablets which stopped the bleeding but as soon as I stopped taking them the bleeing returned.

The doctor said monitor the flow for a few days and if it doesn't settle, to go back on my combined pill (I'm no longer bf) to see if that helps.

I'm quite anxious because my doctor doesn't really seem to know what's going on and I don't want the pill to hide any underlying issues. It's only as bad a my worst perid but it's beginning to get me down as it still a problem 10 weeks after the birth.

Has anyone been through this? Any feedback would be really appreciated.

Try researching Endometreosis. I'm not a Doctor and don't know an awful lot about it. However my sister suffered very irregular and heavy periods after her twins (not that I think it's related to twins, could just be a coincidence) but it has been put down to this.
She has continued to have another baby, just in case you read how it can interfear with fertility and start to worry.
I hope you get it sorted out soon .
