ds1 9lb 13 @41wks
ds2 8lb 7 @38wks
ds3 9lb 6 @41wks

so no. and if it helps, birth is easier anyway 2nd/3rd time round

hunkermunker · 30/07/2005 21:44

It helps - oh, it helps

Ds2 would have been bigger if I hadn't been induced early:

ds1 - 9lb 8oz at 41wks

ds2 - 9lbs at 38wks

Hopefully no.3 will be a bit smaller.

franke · 30/07/2005 21:53

No - dd about 8lb, ds (born last year) about 7.5lb

Janh · 30/07/2005 21:58

Not necessarily...

dd1 (41+) 5.11 (I think! have forgotten! )
dd2 (40) 7.12 (ditto!)
ds1 (38) 8.3
ds2 (37) 7.4

HTH!

sandycheeks · 30/07/2005 21:58

dd was 6lb 14 and ds was 9lb 8, so in my case second baby was much bigger!

Good greif. So many big babies!

Weights and labours ... in chronological order...

8lb 12oz ....Straighforward
9lb 2oz ...Very tough and long
9lb 4oz......Piece of piss
10lb......very tough but mercifully short.

MrsATeam · 30/07/2005 23:06

hi hunkermunker my first dd was 8lb 4oz, my second dd was 7lb 4oz, my fourth ds was 8lb 15oz, and my fourth dd was 71b 6oz...............so just goes to show you cannot tell at all

jamiesam · 30/07/2005 23:15

Yes here.
Ds1, 7lbs 8oz, back to back and cs.
Ds2, 9lbs 3oz, vbac and big tear.

Carla · 30/07/2005 23:28

No.

Maddison · 31/07/2005 07:20

DS1 @ 39+3 6lb 9oz back to back - ouch!
DS2 @ 40+4 7lb 9oz

My second labour was much quicker (2 hours!) and dare I say it, a nicer experience than first time around, it didn't hurt much at all, was only really painful for the last 10 mins - and almost didn't get to hospital in time

mandyc66 · 31/07/2005 07:33

my 2nd and 3rd were smaller than first 4 was the biggest and 5 was a bit smaller than 4 but came early!!!!
