Did your baby move more or less before birth?

Hi everyone
I'm 37 weeks tomorrow and baby is very mobile!
I'm curious to know whether those of you who've given birth before can remember if your babies moved more or less just before labour?
I had a little spotting this morning, and I had a show a few weeks ago. Since the show I've been getting a lot of low abdo/bowel-area pain and baby is kicking my butt! (Literally!!)
Oh and my mood swings over the last couple of days! Well all I can say is I feel very sorry for my other half! Today and the day before yesterday I've done nothing but burst into tears, but yesterday I felt great!
For such tiny things, babies certainly do make their presence known ;)

I think mine went quiet only with the onset of early labour though to be honest its hard to recall. I think alot of it comes down to what your baby has been like throughout your pregnancy. Hence why its so important to report any changes to your midwife. My second DC was much quieter in utero than my first and that used to freak me out.
Hope your labour, when it comes, goes well.
