Trainee Doula

I am looking for volunteers to help me with my DOULA journey.

I was wondering whether any one would be willing to have an observer present at their birth?
I am going to start training as a DOULA in May 2010, but am looking to observe a birth between now and then as well as look for protential clients that are looking to hire a doula.
A doula is a professional 'birthing partner', who assists the mother through the labour and supports the partner in their role to. A doula is not instead of a midwife, but in addition and can help support the labour process by counselling the women and therefore, possibly reducing labour time, need for pain relief and intervention. A doula helps the mother have the labour she 'truly' wants! A doula can provide support during the birth and postnatal period.
I am looking for volunteers, who would be happy for me to observe, on the understanding that I will not be starting my training until May. Or families that are looking to hire a doula for their labour after May during my qualifying period in both birth and postnatal duties. For further information please contact me.

I am in the Cambridgeshire area.

Many thanks
