I'm 37 + 2 and booked in for an elective c-section on 39 + 1.......(section is due to 2 very traumatic previous births). I'm completely paranoid about going into labour before this date, especially as all my pregnancies have been back to back so I usually have a few weeks of stop start contractions so its quite difficult to tell whether or not labour has actually started! Has this happened to anyone before, and did you still get your section or did you end up with a vb?......

it's happened to me - twice....and both times they did my c-section as soon as they could (middle of the night). I was asked if i was sure i didn't want a vb but said no (for lots of reasons).

Phew this is one of the questions I had for my ob I'm seeing st 36 weeks on Friday as my dd was early! I guess this means I need to get packed early still:-) x

This is bothering me too, I'm in the same boat and booked for 39+1 too. I've got it in writing from the consultant that they will still do the section if I present in labour, but what if it's a speedy gonzales and I don't make it in time?! Have to hope this doesn't happen.

MissusRabbit glad to hear that this worked out for you
