Hi, i know theres already a thread on this topic but i'm only 30+6 and i havn't had the period like pains, so i'm probably just fussing about nothing!
it's just i've been moving house and completely redecorating the new place, plus another hectic day and as i've been plodding around today i've had an intense ache along the pubic bone which has been quite painful at times and just felt a real heavyness down there. cuz its so early i'd probably just ignore it but i was told i have too much amniotic fluid and might give birth early so to watch out for early signs of labour. so now dont know what to do!
does anyone know if this sounds like the babys engaging? i know i havn't described it very well but its a very uncomfortable heavyness down there. any thoughts would be really welcome!

DD engaged and fixed at 31 weeks. Lots of low down pressure and nerve pain because of it. She was born 8 weeks later!

The baby may well be engaging but this doesn't mean it's ready to be born. My dd's head was engaged at 35 weeks iirc. She was born at 41+5.

I also had a lot of amniotic fluid but went 12 days over due date.

Good luck!

If your baby has engaged, I don't think you need to panic. Like I said, dd engaged and then wasn't born for another 2 months. But if you're worried, see your midwife, of course.
