I had a c-section 5 weeks on monday, scar and evrything healing nicely. No internal pain for a couple of weeks now but...........

woke up this morning and my stomach just above my scar is very sore ( feels like sunburn to touch) really tender and feels sore inside.

if i keep the toilet it in for a bit, when I do go its like a bad crampy feeling in my stomach for about 10 minz afterwards

does this sound like an infection? its not red or inflamed/weeping etc

any advice apprecitated .x

I was advised that its at least 8 weeks, sometimes 12 before everything inside heals as well as the outside. the discomfort when going to the loo is usual - it was for me and took about 3 months to settle and certainly felt worse on sometimes - usually after i had done too much like hanging up all the washing, changing the bed, all things that make you bend /twist / stretch.

Just try to take everything very easy not too much walking or lifting or stair climbing. Give yourself enough time to let it heal.

Have a chat with your HV / GP to put your mind at rest.
