workshop for birth trauma

Hi

I'm a therapist in birth related trauma. I've had a number of requests to run a workshop for women suffering with a terrible birth experience. I am thinking to do this in Birmingham in April/May and I wondered if anyone here might find this useful?

Currently, I have been working mostly on a one to one basis. I am a qualified and insured therapist.

The focus of the workshop would be for women who have had a difficult or distressing birth experience. Particularly for women who are having trouble with, say intrusive images, memories or anxiety due the birth.

I suffered with PTSD after the birth of my first child. Although I was, at that time a student midwife (didn't qualify), I was shocked at the lack of resources for women in this position, I'd like to do something about it.

If there is enough interest then I'm happy to go ahead. Numbers would be limited to 15 places max., it would be held on a Saturday, date to be decided.

Let me know if there is any interest,
Best wishes, Hari

Hello, I would be really, really interested in doing this.

I am not too far from Birmingham and am pregnant with my 2nd child due in July after a traumatic birth experience. Currently trying to get a consultants appt to try to arrange a c-section.

I definitely think I would find this really helpful, especially as I seem to be hitting a brick wall with the NHS.

I can do most dates in April and May I think.

I'll look at availability for the room hire. I'm thinking late April, after the school holidays.

Littlesez or anyone else interested, please drop me a line and I'll give you more details.
