Im 29 weeks with number 2.

Just come back from a horrile MW appointment.
Had a GTT last week due to sugar in my sample throughout this pregnancy and family history.

Anyway I mistakenly drank the Wrong flavour Lucozade so of course the test has come back high as 6.8.
Again Sugar in my sample (+3)
and baby is measuring big.

Ive now got to see a consultant next week which im dreading.

My sample also lit up the test strip like a christmas tree, full of Keytones etc so has been sent off a tests.
All my 28 week blood tests have come back high/positive so now need Iron tablets too- Feels like im falling apart!

Anyone able to put my mind at rest as to what happens next if I get told i have GD?
I have visions of another high medicalised birth/induction which is not what i wanted at all.
Any advice or experiences please.

This pg has been nothing but worries and my mind is working overtime

Hi there, this will be a pointless reply really, as they only spotted my GD the day before I went into spontaneous labour ( had been in results 2 months before).
All I know is in my labour I was on a monitor the majority of the time, and that my blood sugars were tested every 4 hours I think. I also had keytones in my wee.
So other than the fact I went from low risk to high risk in an instant - and that I was no longer allowed the midwife lead unit or a birthing pool (humph)possibly not a lot of difference - although it was my first.
