Anyone else had a Nuchal Hand birth?

DS2 was born nearly 2 weeks ago and had his left hand by his face when his head came out. I'm interested who else had this and whether their experience matched mine - as I'd never heard of this before and I can't find any old threads on it. My pushing stage was a lot longer than my 1st labour stage and I needed an epi, otherwise it could have ended in a EMCS.

Congrats!
I did with DS1. He took an absolute age to descend and I ended up having to have a ventouse and epi. I told them from the moment he engaged that it felt like there were fingers tickling me too far down and they said dont be silly. I was right. I pushedfor quite a while before the ventouse. It was horrid.

My DD1's hand wasn't by her face but on her shoulder......I managed to push her out (I think it was the threat of theatre that did it!) but it took over 1.5 hours. I didn't have an epi but did tear badly.

DS was born nearly 4 weeks ago with his hand up by his head. I felt like I was pushing for ages although the MWs tell me it was only 20 minutes once I'd "got the hang of it properly" .

I had a third degree tear. and a big PPH, so despite him being born at home with just gas and air, I still ended up in hospital for three days with a spinal to repair me in theatre and a blood transfusion.

Oh dear.

DS1 came out hand first a bit like Superman in flight! Unfortunately his sharp little elbow ran down my insides and I had a nasty internal tear!
