i have just noticed theres a lump on one side... and im about to try for a vbac in 4 weeks time..

Is the lump normal? anyone had this? does it mean my scar didnt heal properly? or i have adhesions?

ive got a mw appt on monday and i will ask her, also have cons appt and i will mention it to them but i am worried they'll say to go for an elcs bc of this... or be even more strict...
Any opinions?
thx

How big is the lump?

When the skin is cut and healing, the body chucks lots of collagen at the area to heal it quickly, but the new tissue has a different texture and quality than the surrounding normal tissue, and can be lumpy in places.

The good news is it's never too late to work on old scar tissue, by rubbing in small firm circles with a vitamin E rich oil like wheatgerm. Ask your doc to confirm if this is right for you. Good luck.
