I just requested the birth notes for ds who was born 3 years ago...

It says ventouse non-rotational.

What does this mean?

Sorry if this is already somewhere on MN but I couldn*t find it...

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I think it means they used a ventouse (suction cap) but did not twist or turned as they pulled (sometimes they do this to rotate the baby as its born into a better position)
I've not heard it used with ventouse before only forceps.
