Does it hurt when the midwife takes it off?

I was told to take mine off in the shower!

do you have stitches or staples?
It didn't hurt at all actually when she took mine off. It was only taped along the edges so the scar itself wasn't touched. I was petrified about having her remove the staples but it was fine. I remember lying on the lounge floor with my DH and MIL staring down at me and my MIL asking me if minded her putting the roast pork on or was it interferring!
When she removes the dressing, hold yourself taught like when your coughing/sneezing and you'll be fine. The scar isn't as bad as you'd imagine either - panique pas!
