Well it has,and it's not a very novel subject but hopefully you are reading now and you might post

When will I go into labour with DC3
DD1 -was about 39 weeks
DS1-was 38 weeks
Am I more likely to be early than late?

Have been looking for some research on the web but cannot locate so would like a strawpoll of all people, early or late or vice versa

I want to know whether your past deliveries were the main indicator for your current pregnancy
If there are any O+G consultants/keen trainees/midwifes out there as well , could you link me some research.
Thanks in advance

So you are evidence of what has happened before, tends to happen again
Actually I could make this a sweepstake, THERE WILL BE A PRIZE FOR WHOEVER GETS IT RIGHT

That should get some players I reckon
So -Reality 38+3

dd on the edd
ds on edd
ds2 10 days overdue
dd2 17 days over

foetal positioning was a determining factor for me

DarrellRivers · 07/02/2010 11:08

Expand your foetal positioning please hobbgoblin
What was optimal for you?

Reality is wrong, you will go into labour at 37+5 mark my words!

I wish you all the best on the actual day!!

Hassled · 07/02/2010 11:13

DC1 - 14 days late
DC2 - 10 days late
DC3 - 10 days late, induced, long, awful, he really didn't want to arrive.
DC4 - 7 days late.

But in your case I'm going for the average. 38.5 exactly.

hobbgoblin · 07/02/2010 11:17

dd and ds were both perfectly positioned and fully descended.

DS2 was popping in and out of my pelvis and turned to the side - he dropped very late in labour and came out like superman with his arm down the sie of his head.

DD2 never fully engaged, which would have been fine and normal but she was posterior and caused labour pains throughout the last month of pg which had me doubled over in the supermarket and also in hospital several nights in the last few weeks with proper contractions going on. A whole month later she caused my waters to finally go but even then all stopped and she was induced in the 3rd week past dates.

She came out looking up at me - her head never presented effectively and thus my labour was very delayed and a bit of a nin starter altogether.

This was after a 3rd baby whose labour, though late, lasted only 50 mins.

MerlinsBeard · 07/02/2010 11:27

Ds1 1 day early - was a text book pregnancy
Ds2 4 days late - another "normal" pregnancy
(m/c)
Ds3 2 weeks early - not a normal pregnancy in the slightest apparently had a huge hormonal change after m/c

Highlander · 07/02/2010 11:29

a PRIZE?!!

39 weeks

bronze · 07/02/2010 11:53

I agree with reality but you will give birth 38+4
can you not feel it in your waters

bronze · 07/02/2010 11:55

oh and I was ds1 6 over
ds2 6 days over
dd 90 days early
ds3 9 days early

DarrellRivers · 07/02/2010 12:43

And noticing, not specifying what the prize is....
It could be a 3 million pound house (although unlikely)

Bronze, evidence that it is all random

Hey DR missed that you were now expecting , congratulations. Does this thread mean labour might actually be imminent?

My punt is arrival on due date, I think they get later.

fwiw DD was 37.4 weeks, DS bang on due date

DarrellRivers · 07/02/2010 13:38

Thankyou Lionstar, have been keeping very quiet about it all as it was a very hard few years preceding it
Not really imminent, end of March is due date so who knows?

OP posts:
PollyTroll · 07/02/2010 13:47

Both of my two arrived on exactly the same day in gestation terms - 39+5.

mum2boys3girls · 07/02/2010 15:40

DS1 39 weeks
DS2 36+4weeks
DD1 37weeks
DD2 38 weeks
DD3 39 weeks
So I think it will be 38+2 days

rubyslippers · 07/02/2010 15:48

both my children were born around 1 week early

i predict you will be 38.5 weeks this time

welshandproud · 07/02/2010 15:53

39+2

Lulumama · 07/02/2010 15:55

I WOULD SAY 40 + 3
sorry for shouting !!

DS was induced at 39 + 1 ,DD arrived spontaneously at 40 weeks exactly

DarrellRivers · 07/02/2010 16:11

Lulu's prediction is the latest then at 40+3
The range seemingly 37+5-40+3
And the mode, 38+3/4/5 ish which I could do.
At least no 40+14 (oh lord)

38+6

doodlexyz · 07/02/2010 19:34

For me the gender also paid a part..

DD1 12 days late (induced)
DS1 1 day late
DD2 12 days late (induced)

currently pregnant with number 4, expecting to be late!!

I predict 39+2

DarrellRivers · 07/02/2010 19:39

Yes, have decided that thinking I am going to go into labour on April Fool's Day is the only thing for it
