Last time it was an emergency and in eve and conked out after painkillers and slept. Tomorrow cs is in the morn and wondered if likely to conk out again or will I be awake in day and able to spend time with baby.

What are peoples experiences?

I had an EMSC followed by two electives. I found the electives to be much nicer and calmer (obviously), and I was more awake and with it. I did have a nap later on, but I think that was because I was so tired after being awake most of the night before.

If it was an emergency weren't you exhausted from labour etc?

I think if it is in the morning and is planned, you'll be fine. Unless the pain killers make you drowsy? They gave me something straight after that made me feel a little drunk and I slurred my words! LOL
