No food after midnight Thurs-but just wondered what a good pre cs feast that wont make you feel sick the next day meal would be.

I spent 2 weeks on the ante natal ward with polyhydramnious and transverse baby. The morning of planned cs section, baby decided to turn round and go head down! They sent me home. My nerves were shot.....

Now here I would be going for a really carb-filled slow release energy meal, just in case they forget to feed me for 24hrs, like they did last time!

TheChewyToffeeMum · 03/02/2010 14:58

I had a really hot spicy thai meal before my elective section. I had been having really bad heartburn before this but I was given ranitidine to take the night before the op so I thought I would make the most of it!

mummynumnum · 03/02/2010 15:45

I hope nobody forgets to feed me!

Yes, the nurses do get obsessed about your poo!

My consultant told me that the best time to perform an ELCS is when you are in very early labour (wakes the baby up a bit so their lungs are ready to go!) so perhaps (bearing in mind the what goes in must come out comments) it is sensible to go for a REALLY hot curry at about 11pm! Cover both bases!
