Placing a Holland & Barrett order... Got the raspberry leaf tea and Clary Sage Oil. What else??

Anything else I should look for on their website?

Would like to get Arnica but they don't have it in the right strength (200c) so I'll have to go somewhere else for that.

Anything else I should put on my order (aromatherapy oils etc) so that I don't end up paying for delivery twice?

Thanks!

I got some super strength Vit E oil from them which I've been using for perineal massage and adding a few drops to moisturiser or general softening purposes - it's pretty nice... And yeah, definitely get some Arnica... x

Nothing to do with childbirth, but their Manuka Honey handcream is lovely

Oooh, sounds nice - I'll add them both.

Both useful suggestions - my skin seems to turn mega dry when I'm pregnant and I end up feeling all scaly like a crocodile. Yuk.

Have also heard of people adding something (essential oil maybe?) to baths to aid with healing afterwards - anyone got any ideas as to what it might be?

evening primrose capsules

  1. Almond oil to massage baby once here.
  2. Witch hazel to cool your bits afterwards.
  3. Some energy tablets for during.

u need aapesd oil to mix with the clarysage

Tea tree oil and lavender oil to add to your bath afterwards. Both are also very good to add to the nappy wash if you are using reusables!

Are you ordering the raspberry leaf teabags? I did read somewhere that they are not strong enough to do anything. I got dried raspberry leaves from Neal's Yard.

Try Boots for arnica tablets.

I use lavender oil and neroli oil in labour. You could get some rescue remedy to use in labour.
You could get some Pomegranate extract (been recently shown to increase contractability of the uterus

Or just take a fresh one to munch on in labour!

Wow - some great suggestions...
All added to my basket... (I already had witch hazel)

disenchanted3 could you come back and re-post - not sure the name of the oil you've written down makes any sense? Unless I'm being thick.

Oh, and unfortunately Boots don't have the right strength of Arnica so I'll just Google it to find someone who has the 200c strength...

Try "Ainsworths" Homeopathy in London for the Arnica, they will post it out the same day and are very reasonable, I buy it in huge quantities!

Thanks MummyMellie !!!

Fennel tea bags, if you are planning to breastfeed.
It helps your milk supply and also helps the baby against colic.
