I am 40+10. Had a sweep on Tuesday and when I cleaned up after there was a small amount of blood/mucasy stuff on tissue. I assumed that was it.

Last night however there was some more when I went to the loo and during night had several painful tightenings that woke me up. This morning there was even more blood/mucas when I went to the loo (accidentally flicked it across bathroom ) and later on today even more.

Is it normal for there to be this much? I kinda assumed there would only be a bit but I swear there is loads coming out?

On very plus side, having fairly regular painful contractions around 10 - 15 mins apart now. Very excited that this could be it (crosses fingers)

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

yep - sounds like a show

it can take several days for the plug to all come away

and with the contractions sounds like you are on the way!

thank you. As with so many things in pregnancy, I just didn't appreciate how gross it would be
