So lots of braxton hicks mean baby will be here soon?

I have been having really painful braxton hicks lately to the point that I thought I was going into labour the other night- they were lasting about 56-59 seconds (yes we timed them) and actually had 3 in ten mins at one point! They seemed to be getting regular then stopped.

I've been tested for everything going at hospital as having a difficult pregnancy. Yesterday, I was on the monitor and regular tightenings were showing up but I wasn't feeling them. So what about the ones I am feeling?

I'm 35+4 and really feel that baby will be here soon. Particularly as she's big.

Every evening I will go through the painful contractions thing and wonder if this is the start but it never is... but I never go long without them.

So is it a sign that baby will be here shortly?

Um, as far as i remember i had braxton hicks from around 7 months or earlier. I had them more when i was tired, so more in the evening.

i don't think BH are a sign that labour is starting as the whole point about BH is that they are 'false' or practise contractions.

What else makes you think your DC will come early?

It sounds like you are being well monitored so I wouldnt worry...

Unfortunately not, it is a pain though isn't it! Hopefully it means your labour won't be too long, though. Hang on in there!

She's meant to be huge so I might get induced early anyway, but have also had a show and feel like I did with DS just before I went into labour IYSWIM.

I hate the last few weeks lol. Totally immobile.
