Braxton Hicks - How painful?

Karrierbag · 22/01/2010 23:45

Got home from party at 10:15, had some food (KFC - yum!) but violently sick at 10:45 and had some really painful cramps, I was doubled over in pain and bump went really hard for about 30 seconds (ish) this has been happening every 15 mins or so since then. I've been told that BH shouldn't really hurt but seriously, pain is awful! Anyone has similar BH's? (Am saying they're BH as I'm only 32+6) Have had some greenish discharge every now and then (Sorry if TMI) for the last week or so, not OTT but definately there so wondering if UTI or similar.. Sorry if this isnt making sense, I'm shattered and going to try and sleep soon, just taken paracetamol and got the hotwater bottle ready. If pain still there in morn then will give midwife a ring but just wondered if this sounds normal? 1st baby so no idea what to expect! Thanks in advance, just a little nervous!xx

Probably won´t help much but thought I would reply.

I never had BH.

I would get checked out tbh because of the green discharge.

My labour pains were all around my bum with both!

With first went into labour early & a pain which doubled me over & a wave of sickness was the first sign!

Hope all is ok.

I'd go to the maternity ward and get checked out tbh. BH are uncomfortable but not painful and definitely not doubled over painful.
I'd also be concerned about green discharge.
Please get checked the minute you get up.

Karrierbag, I hope you slept OK and feel better this morning.

I would get yourself off to the day ward at your local maternity ward to be checked over. The green discharge does cound like an infection. Does it smell? And any infection down there can cause early labour.

To be honest I always found BH quite painful, but then i found the whole of pregnancy quite painful all the way through!

Yes, get checked out and hope all is well.

Thanks for the replies, managed to get a good sleep and felt fine when I woke on Saturday! Am going to try and see mw tomorrow re: discharge but have been feeling very strange today, have the need to walk about and a sudden urge to pack my hospital bag at midnight last night! (Just overactive mind I think!) Also feeling blocked 'down there' as if something needs to come out lol, sorry tmi, but weird feeling to describe! Not constipated or anything like that, just very umm.. blocked and heavy is the only way I can describe it! Had niggly pains all day today too! Argh.. doing my own head in with this pregnancy! Thanks again for your replies!
xx
