Is there a difference between a TENS machine or a maternity TENS machine?

TIA

I've only seen/used a maternity TENS machine. I hired one. It came with pads that were suited for applying to the right bits of your back (four, if I recall correctly). It also had different settings and a boost button to help you deal with the contractions.

I'd certainly recommend giving it a try for the early stages of labour, before it's properly established (i.e. when you definitely want to be staying at home if you can!).

Does that help at all?
