Best birthing pool for home birth?

Hi everyone,
We are planning to have a home birth for our second baby and have looked at a few websites including www.birthpoolinabox.co.uk and www.madeinwater.co.uk
We like that both have pools with rounded edges for ease of comfort of my husband and midwives reaching into or leaning on side of pool. Was wondering if anyone had used either of these or another company and what your thoughts were?
Also, I've heard if you replace the liner you can use it as a paddling pool in your garden-is this correct? I like this idea as it seems more 'green' and would get a pool cover for it.
Thanks ladies!

I've used La Bassine from madeinwater.com

It was very good. Got the package with all the kit including the pump to get rid of the water when you've finished - more useful then you'd think. You don't use a liner with it. Tbh you don't need to - just give it a really good clean before and after use.

It was comfortable because it's inflatable... and as you say for DH and MW leaning in it's much better. In fact my MW asked me where I'd bought it so she could recommend it.

You can use in the garden in the summer as large paddling pool and you can put balls in it for the DC to play.

I've kept my pool to use again in the future it's so good.

Good luck with the birth

Thank you Just Another Manic Mummy for your thorough response! That is brilliant!

Am so excited about a water birth and will probably go with your recommendation! I think La Bassine more economical as well compared to pool in a box.

Cheers!:0

La Bassine is great, I've used them twice.
