Is this milk ducts or breast cancer?

I suppose this isn't really the right topic to post in but I don't know what is.

I'm 34+1 and my milk has come in. I have large breasts anyway but I have a large lump with some little lumps around it at the side of my right boob. Down from my armpit but not under my armpit.

Is this some kind of milk gland or should I be getting checked for cancer?

I think this is most likely to be fine, but I wouldn't like to say for sure. Everyone, including your GP would be happier I'm sure if you got it checked. (I have had a suspicious lump investigated and it was a very efficient, if scary process. Completely safe to do during pregnancy)

It might be ectopic breast tissue (I have a similar lump under one armpit which is only apparent when milk in). However, agree with Mrsgboring that you should raise it with MW/GP and get it checked out.

I would say it is most likely to be a milk gland or duct but these things should always be checked out and insist on a referral if you are in any doubt - even if your gp says it's fine.

Thanks guys, I'm going to try and get it checked Monday morning. Seems to be getting bigger.
