Im 38 weeks on Friday with dc2. Dd was a nice labour that started with my waters leaking and then going into labour the next.

This time, I have being have tightenings at the bottom of my bump since yesterday morning. Yesterday I had to think about them to notice them IYSWIM and they finally stopped at around 8pm.

This morning they are stronger and seem constant although Im convinced its labour. I have had no show and my waters havent gone.

It doesnt feel like period pains but I cant really describe it. I have had back ache for weeks and still have that today.

Any ideas?

mama2moo- could well be the start of things.. your waters dont have to go before labour with the birth of my 3rd child my waters broke on the first push as he crowned. Also remember reading you dont always get a show.
The thing will be to see how thingsa progress over the next few hours.. Have you spoken to your mw to see what she thinks.. What is it some of them say try a nice bath and some paracetamol.

Goodluck and let us knowhow you get on hun xx

Thanks. I have my swine flu jab today so may see if I can get in to see a mw then.

I have a 19mo dd to look after so a bath isnt likely!! I havent told dp anything because he needs to work as long as possible without worry before his paternity leave.

I didnt have a show with dd so not really sure if I would notice or not.

You would think I would know if I was in labour! Its worse when I stand up now but baby is still moving so I know she is ok.
