What is going on?!

I'm due in two days. I've spent the last three weeks having an interesting variety of Braxton Hicks, backaches, a couple of clear shows over the last three weeks and period pains yet nothing comes of it. I've finally decided that I'm just going to distract myself with various activities and wait it out!

However... last night, the baby went slightly mental inside of me. My belly was rolling all over the place and she was clearly twisting and turning whereas normally she stays in once place and just kicks a lot. It was a bit scary and fascinating for me and DH! I'm hoping she hasn't moved position - she is engaged apparently so I'm assuming she will stay that way and won't pop out and turn at the last minute?

Later on I woke up in the night with a wave of back pain lasting about thirty seconds and at that point realised in my half asleep state that I had been having a few of them. They continued on and off through the night but I was able to sleep through them. I've not had this before. I woke up this morning with a lot more pressure on my pubic bone and lower abdo and my legs aching like mad. The backaches have died off now.

Does this sound like something is starting?
What is she doing in there??!
Anyone had similar experiences?

OOOhh yeah how excitng is this your 1st??

I had v similar things although waters went 5 days early so dint quite get to the end.

Once engaged highly unlikely that sh would move but they are able to twist round and round in circles lol
My DD was back to back in labour (no idea when she turned) so it amazes me what the can do inside.

Sounds v much like she's worked her way further down ready for exit

Thanks Nicola
Perhaps that what she was doing - just twisting around. Can't walk today as feel like I have bowling ball between legs!

That's exactly how it started with dd2. She was going mental on the tuesday night, alot more than usual... had her at 5.40am Wed morning.

Good luck
