Cervical damage a problem in future pregnancies?

Have just found out I'm pregnant again, but it looks like it isn't going to stick (on and off bleeding all day). Anyway, I saw the doctor just now and he mentioned that the cervical tear (along with 3rd degree tear) I got delivering DS might be a problem in this and/or any other future pregnancies.

Was he talking out of his bottom, or is this something I should talk to someone about? Anyone got the least idea? Doc didn't have my notes in front of him, but asked if there had been any complications with DS and I mentioned the tears.

Don't know the answer, but will watch with interest as I had a cervical tear last time too.

Perhaps the absence of posting means that it's not a problem?

I'm having a scan at the EPU on Tuesday to confirm that I'm no longer pregnant, so I'll bring it up there and post here what they tell me.
