Which Hospital would you choose?

I think I have already made up my mind but just wanted some other opinions.
for my dc2 I will definitely be having a second C-section but just wondering.... If you had the choice, would you go back to the hospital you had dc1 in which is very well renowned, and probably the best in the country, or would you go to the hospital your dh works at where you would probably get some nice perks? The first hospital is about 45 minutes away and bit of a hassle to get to in traffic, and dh's hospital is 30 mins but he would possibly know the anethetists etc and would be well looked after there, however it is no where near the reputation of the other (although still good)?

I'd go for the one with the best paediatrics.

Dh's hospital, as long as he's in favour of that idea. If he works there (in a position to be familiar with anaesthetists) and he's happy for you to give birth there then that says more than a generalised "reputation".
It's closer too, and then there's the perks you speak of.

I suppose it would be based on the topic of reputation.

I probably wouldn't go to one with a reputation for being dirty and with huge MRSA outbreaks, but if the reputation is simply that it gives one instead of two pillows I probably wouldn't dismiss it iyswim.

it has a good reputation for complicated births etc (Queen Charlottes) however my first was no complications anyway

oh and yes he's in favour - he just questioned it at first but then I was looking at the whole picture ie that he works at one and knows docs etc but the other he knows no-one anymore (but did when I was there with ds1 if that makes sense)

and he was just looking at the general reputation of each hospital without putting himself into the equation
