Im 36 weeks pg now and have think I have piles. Not too bad but they are there. Im using sudocrem to help.

Im now starting to worry about labour and what the straining of pushing will do.

Any ideas or tips? Thanks.

They will undoubtedly get worse - sorry! But if it's any consolation, you won't worry about them or feel them at the time! If you get some treatment for them asap after the birth then they should improve quite quickly.

Umm, they get worse.

Sorry!

oh gosh! I really worried about this beforehand, too.
But mine actually didn't get any worse.
I've had them for years. Decades actually! so they usually just flare up from time to time.... but they didn't even feel that swollen after birth of DS
Sorry if TMI!

I had some after DC2 but they rarely bothered me and rarely protruded however following 10lb DC4 they became quite big and swollen and protruded terribly. Could barely sit down. I was too embarrassed to go to doc for a week or so but i wish i had sooner. She asked if she could look at them, i said i'd rather she didn't! but she persuaded me and to be fair she felt mine were in the top ten worst ones she'd ever seen...should that make me proud?
she advised sitting on bag of frozen peas and a mild steroid spray(Was ok to BF while using). The results were amazing. They dissappered in less than 2 days.
Bit long winded but basically if they flair up get to GP immediately and prescribed meds work so much better than over the counter ones.
Hope you wont be needing advise thou!
Good Luck

Thanks. Mine have got worse but arent causing me any pain or bother anymore.

I am worried about pushing dc2 out and the strain it will put on them. I have a rubber ring ready for after the birth if they are bad
