TENS machine hire

Sunflower2b · 04/01/2010 17:14

Hello,

has anybody used this company to hire their TENS machine?

www.maternitytensmachine.co.uk/html/maternity_tens.html

or

www.tensmachines.co.uk/

They seem to be the cheapest on the market, but cheap isn't always good :-)

Has anybody had experience with them?

Or any other tips on where to hire a TENS machine?

Thanks,
Sunflower2b

I hired one from mothercare. Very easy and straightforward but i went to them mainly because I saw the thing in the catalogue when I was ordering other stuff anyway.

Have you looked at TENS on Ebay? They are often almost as cheap, or as cheap, to buy, and then you can sell it when you have finished with it.

I got mine through the link on the NCT website. It arrived just before xmas but I haven't had the opportunity (!) to use it yet so can't report how good it is. It was about £37 for the super-dooper version with extra pads.

Lloyds pharmacy are selling Maternity Tens for about £24 (got offer on instore)...less than it costs to hire one. The stats on it seems pretty standard tbh, but check it out yourself.

Mamatens were good - I was late in sending it back and they were very helpful and didn't charge me. However for the cost of hiring one for a few weeks I don't know if it would be better to buy one and then sell it on ebay afterwards?

I'm hiring mine from the birth centre where I'm giving birth. Pick it up on Saturday at 38 week appointment and it's £15 for the sooper strength one. Bargainous

Hi I used a company called www.babytens.net and they were great, the Tens was fab for my very long labour and I pretty much got right to the end on the tens alone. They seemed to be the cheapest around to and came with a booster button.

If you think you're going to have another child, buy. As ScaredofCows says, you can always sell it 2nd hand.
